InactiveI HAVE had some hiccups with them.. but so far I must say.. It’s the smallest casino’s like Purple Lounge, and No1 Poker Room that are my favorites to work with..
I get a decent % from them. I get personalized service.. I do get paid for tourneys (at most of the smaller sites atleast) They try harder (IMO) then the bigger casinos.. The biggest problem I have with alot of these smaller casino’s is .. they are either Prima, or they don’t have many players right off the bat. I can’t stand looking around a casino for ppl to play.. And I do ALOT of business with Prima Casinos! Which isn’t a bad thing, but I prefer variety. . .
I’m not ready to revolt yet hehe.. but I do see what your sayin.. Especially AP not paying for tourneys.. being that a big part of my sites is private tourneys

Here is a thought for you though… There are many lists going on right now here @ CAP 1. for aff programs that don’t carry over negatives, 1. for those that don’t offer rake back.. Why not start these lists for the things that you DO want to see.. for instance.. Poker Rooms that pay % on Tourney fee’s etc. Ive seen the aff managers reply to these posts, they do know how big CAP is in the affiliate world, and they seem to respect the thoughts and ideas of CAP members..

InactiveI am going to switch a lot of my exposure to Casino Rewards Pokers – I know that they do the right thing when it comes down to it.
Party is out asap.
It is true that we have a lot of power by rewarding certain programs, but it is difficult to get people to change when they are making good money with someone.

InactiveI agree that there should be something as a group we could do to encourage change.
As long as items like these are in the T&C’s, we will never be able to do much.

InactiveThe best thing to do is to not promote programs that have predatory T&Cs like the ones you listed above. “Speak with your feet.” And then spread the word on public forums so that others can do the same. :terms:

InactiveAgain I agree its about time we take some tuff stands on this B.S. I am all for it they are coming off today. I will post the facts mainly on European forums. As webmasters I do have one ace up my sleeve I will be posting it soon. I already starting praying everyone would like this idea.

InactiveSilly me, i had no idea that absolute didnt pay tourney fees…
This has to change.
this fact alone is one of the main reasons I dont promote UB.

InactiveYes, I agree with everyone here. It seems those guys are spending way 2 much money on tv advertising then taking care of their affilates who made them big in the first place.

This is a standard clause to discourage complaints. These clauses are a deterrent only, they don’t hold up in court.

That is really lousy. Unacceptable.

InactiveLadyHoldem….what I would love is an affiliate manager to step up to the plate and sell their sizzle here and show us why we should promote their poker room over everybody elses. If you look through the threads you will often see a reply that ….its being taken care of”, and a couple of months later there haven’t been any changes.
Dom…I know ppl aren’t going to stop promoting a site that is making them money….that would be silly of them. What I’m thinking is that they will also promote site X, who has the affiliates best interests in mind, so by promoting site X the affiliate will benefit too.
I think money talks…and if the poker sites, see how much traffic we really send to them, they may re-evalute our relationship and stop taking us for granted and make the terms fair.
IE pay us for tournament fees. Would you promote a casino if they gave you 30% of their profits from all games except blackjack? Tournaments are the main reason for poker’s popularity right now.
Yes there are a number of excellent AMs who work with us and reply immediately and deal with our concerns (you know who you are), but often times our concerns go unanswered, and the longer we let it go the worse it will become.

InactiveI wonder if the recent departure of Shaun Measday had anything
to do with the way PartyGaming is handling this acquisiion …
or if it is coincidence.Having worked with Shaun a bit..
I am thinking it just might.February 23, 2006 at 8:13 pm #684568Anonymous

I agree…
I have always found him to be fair and helpful.
Did he leave ParyGaming as well??
They suffered a huge loss in Shaun..
my opinion.

Inactiveare you guys seriously telling me that partypoker is BAD?

InactiveGood point WorldPeace.
They are also big enough to do the right thing.
# They have not righted the wrong re the dodgy software IGM served up to punters when they started. The same software they admitted recently was flawed “by mistake”. The one where they they offered ridiculous bonuses, funnily enough on the flawed games specifically.
Note :: No players have been refunded, no payment to a charity instead. Nowt.
## They devalued the value of the EO skin themselves, then bought it for cheap, now just watch as the affs get shafted of hundreds of players, while telling those affs to come join a new aff agreement with them. To people who already probably have an aff deal with them.
Opinion :: They should do the right thing by spending prolly 1% of their advertising budget for the next month on righting the wronged.

InactiveI totally agree… :clapper: :clapper:
It is shameful that they are treating affiliates as though they are
NOT the reason for PartyPoker being as big as they are….Too bad there is not a way to show the CEO what PartyPoker would
have become without us…
Kind of like the ghosts did for Scrooge in A Christmas Carol
Bet the next day there would be serious changes made to accomodate
the hardworking affiliates…… -
