InactiveFindWhat doesn’t convert worth a damn anyway. But the chilling effect on free speech continues.

GuestHi,
well I’ll surely miss them. They converted okay if you didn’t target the obvious.

InactiveThe quality of traffic has declined over time and thus I will not miss them. Still, this is not the direction we want to see.

vladcizsolMemberI had a phone message from my rep at Findwhat today, I guess this is what she was calling about…

InactiveIt appears that Search Feed has also discontinued running online gambling ads for USA. I have a account there that is funded and my listings are not showing up.

InactiveAre these companies not aware of Casino City’s suit?
Damn wouldnt they want to wait until the outcome of that? Guess that makes too much sense! Though no one seems to care – I wonder who is pressuring them?

Inactivethe next step will be to remove ALL listings of gambling sites in the organic SERPs – 😮

InactiveI have a suspicion, a hunch, that even if CasinoCity wins its suit, that it’s very possible that the advertising situation on the PPC’s won’t change. At least not on the two major ones, Overture and Google. And at least not very quickly.

I also agree with what Randy said.

vladcizsolMemberI agree with Randy. Caisno City’s suit has had no impact as of yet and its doubtful companies will rescind the bans anytime soon.
In fact, I predict MORE advertising outlets will now follow suit as they won’t want to become prime targets for prosecution or intimidation by the Justice Department.

Guestand yet I see party poker advertised all over the TV.
as much as many PPCs make on gambling related terms; I find it amazing none of them have considered moving out of reach of big brother.

InactiveMethinks we should have discussions about when these companies will change their mind after the election.
If Bush is not re-elected, I would preceive that as a HUGE victory for online gaming. Also, if the republicans lose control of the House and/or the Senate, the same will hold true.
I was at the Halloween Day Parade in NYC today. One guy was dressed like Bush and was holding a sign….. It said..”
“Job Wanted…. Will work after Tuesday”
The crowd roared as he walked by.
Lets see how this election goes, then we’ll see the tide turn in 2005 for US based companies.
