InactiveActually, it doesn’t even matter all that much how Kerry feels about gambling (and he ain’t talking). But we need a change in administration sorely. Any change in administration will change the current situation, any continuation thereof will let the current situation exacerbate.
If the current administration gets reelected, they will not have to worry about the next elections since they can’t be reelected anyway. That makes it much harder to deal with them.
In general, I have a positive outlook.
It looks like things are slowly dissipating – the DOJ has no law to base any of it’s actions on and has stopped short of actually trying to enforce anything for that reason.
I would not be in the least surprised if we saw some changes to the positive within the year – and very especially so if we have a change of administration.

InactivePlease do not turn this into a political debate.
I said nothing about whether I liked or disliked one or the other, or what they thought of gambling.
We do not have political discussions in the gambling forums – if you want to have one do it in the free for all section.
I very cautiously answered a question with facts and avoided any personal opinion or statement about the attributes of parties whatsoever.
The minute the discussion becomes based on personal opinions of candidates and is not completely gambling related it has only one place on this forum – the free for all.
I realize it can be a tight rope to walk. If in doubt – use the free-for-all.
Thank you.

InactiveSorry.
I seriously wasn’t trying to turn into a debate, nor we’re my comments supposed to be taken seriously (well not that seriously). That’s usually why I avoid forums that do carry on political discussions.I’ll behave, I promise.

InactiveNo problem at all.

If you ever feel the urge to make political comments or any other non gambling related stuff – the “free-for-all” section in these forums is a fine place to do it.

InactiveI just think with all the other issues that effect the country right now, who’s for online gambling shouldn’t be a deciding vote. My 2 cents.
Hope that’s per Dominique’s approval.

InactiveOk now, lets leave it like that.
Otherwise the thread will have to be moved.

vladcizsolMemberIf Bush has another four years to further devastate the economy, destroy relationships with our allies, populate the supreme court with far right wing cronies, ship middle class jobs overseas and legislate out all of our remaining civil and personal rights Online Gambling won’t matter.
This is the most important election for the American people that there has been in my lifetime. Even though I once was a Republican, its time to wake up and take back our country from big oil and special interests.
Oh by the way, I moved this thread to free for all area. Everyone is welcome to comment as they wish, but you right wingers need to take a look at this report and let us know what wonderful work Bush has done for the American people:

Big oil and special interest groups are, in a nutshell, what is rotting away the great country of United States of America, and eroding away values once held dear.
Some examples: It is big business and special interest groups that are keeping the cost of prescription drugs so high that people are flocking to the internet to get drugs from Canada cheaply, and its big business (oil) that has cost hundreds of American lives in iraq. It’s big business who control the media.
It’s a much larger list than I’ve stated, but it’s fair to say that the whitehouse is serving the best interests of big business, and not the best interests of the american people.

InactiveYou gotta admit big business is very good at deceptive marketing.
I love their game plan of winning no matter who the
” free ” American people votes for.
