Hi friends!
Google has NOT YET decided, if they are going to stop online gambling international!! We have just heard it from a Google worker.
WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IF WE ACT FAST, so please, everybody: send Google an e-mail or phone them to tell them not to stop international listings! Also tell them, that Overture does not stop international listing for online gambling, because I dont think Google knows this.
As you all know, in many countries it is totally legal to advertise online gambling – it is no different than opening a flower store.
So if we all contact Google, and tell them it is not fair if they stop online gambling adword links in these contries, I dont think they will stop online gambling adwords, – especially when they hear Overture is going to allow online gambling international. With Google we will then still be able make some money in UK, Canada and other countries, where it is total legal – and the pressure on normal search engine listings will be much much smaller.
write them/phone them soon as posiple at adwords :

April 7, 2004 at 11:42 pm #647643AnonymousInactiveI’ve done my part. They have received a rather lenghty email regarding both online casinos and pharmacy advertising.
I hope they have the sense and to act on their own without being pressured by and pending legislation that may or may not ever be put in place.

April 8, 2004 at 2:21 am #647654AnonymousInactiveThanks. And, yes it is very important that WE ALL react. Everyone from webmasters to casinos. EVERYONE who is listed on Google (including the “organinc” listings), because I am sure the big casinos and webmasters will try take over the “non-pay” listings with hundreds of thousands of dollars
if adwords also stop online gambling international .WE can still make a difference if we complain as a COHESIVE group. If there was any time that we should band together….it is NOW!
What is next….will they remove all gambling listings completely!! Why stop at only the PAY listings.
REACT NOW, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.

adwords-support@google.comApril 8, 2004 at 2:27 am #647656AnonymousGuestI just emailed Google a letter, as well.
April 8, 2004 at 5:01 am #647659AnonymousInactiveI just spoke to Google yesterday about this subject…
They told me I could not target Canada or the UK.
Typical double-talk…. left hand doesn’t know what the right one is doing.
April 8, 2004 at 9:04 am #647662AnonymousInactiveTheir left hand knows. This is already decided. I don’t know where the first post in this thread comes from, but Google announced its policy.
