Does anyone know where I can download or buy a Java or Flash based poker odds calculator that I can install onto my site? I am not looking for a stand alone application, I want one that can be used on the site as on Cardplayer.com and Pokerlistings.com
Any guidance in the right direction would be appreciated!
December 1, 2005 at 2:32 pm #677674AnonymousInactiveI would be interested in that too, in any shape or form.
December 1, 2005 at 4:10 pm #677680AnonymousInactiveThere is a real nice one and simple on at http://www.twodimes.net
It uses poker-eval from sourcefourge. I an not much of a programmer so I have not been able to figure out how to compile and implement the same thing on my website. If anyone knows how to do this and write a simple how to that would be great for a lot of people here I am sure.

I am more interested in an application where I can just plug in a Java Applet in my code (I know it’s only about 3 lines of code to insert in the page – very simple) Its just a matter of finding one, LOL.
I am going to email those sites above and see if they can offer some info to the whereabouts of a script author for it and I’ll let you all know if they respond.

December 1, 2005 at 11:34 pm #677705AnonymousInactiveI will make a pretty and user-friendly one in flash for site-license purchase. Give me about two weeks, maybe three to fit it into my schedule.
If there is a particular size or features that people would prefer, fire off your wish list!
The one on Twodimes looks powerful, but is confusing.

I would prefer to have one about 400px wide if possible. That is a fairly decent size without taking upp too much space on the site itself. Height I’m not too concerned about.
I wouldnt really need anything TOO “flashy”, just simple to use and well layed out. I’ll see if I can come up with some ideas in Photoshop and post them here for you. Wish I knew Flash.
Any ideas on possible costs?
December 4, 2005 at 7:26 am #677816AnonymousInactiveHi Jeff,
Pricing for the tools I create is a function of the time it takes me/complexity, and also the value it provides for a webmaster, in terms of long-term site “stickiness” and such. Basically I will price it at a sufficient level to make it worth my time and product value and low enough that it will provide a great return on investment over time. I want to help casino/gaming webmasters make money and see my software/graphic products as investments.
So short answer, I’m not sure yet, but will keep you updated as it progresses
December 4, 2005 at 7:37 am #677817AnonymousInactiveI would be interested in customizing this calculator with your logo, pm and make an offer. Its in java…
December 4, 2005 at 6:20 pm #677831AnonymousInactivethis offer is up for all people. I will sell the calculator for $60 to whoever wants it.
December 5, 2005 at 5:29 pm #677873AnonymousInactiveThanks for this opportunity Aces… I’ll let everyone know how it works out (ease of install, ease of use, overall members (my forum) opinion of it)
Well worth it in my opinion so far.
Preview of what it will look like incorporated into my site (just an image so far, not a working model)

Thanks.
February 18, 2006 at 5:12 pm #683895AnonymousInactiveHey JB, what type of feedback have you been getting on the odds calculator? Looks sharp and nice feature to offer visitors.
February 18, 2006 at 5:37 pm #683900AnonymousInactiveThanks. I had to do some touch up work on the graphics (JPEGS) they were a bit blurry or over optimized or something. It took a little bit to clean it up, but the overall result was worth it. I also added my logo to all of the cards myself as well.
My users seem to like it. I have heard nothing but positive feedback about it. The only thing one or two users have mentioned was they wish it had options to add more players into the calculations, but overall, they are happy and so am I. Well worth the small investment and adds some “stickiness” to your site for future return visitors!

February 25, 2006 at 2:07 am #684680AnonymousInactiveVery interesting! What about that other flash version?
I need something that will work for most users, without having to download something. I’m not a fan of java applets. Many users don’t have java, and don’t want to install it…February 27, 2006 at 9:41 pm #684842AnonymousInactiveI am also looking for one of these..please let us know how the customized $60 one works out..I would be interested in this!
