Hi I know I should have posted this earlier, but we were celebrating. My wife as many of you know, was diagnosed with Brain Cancer (Glioblastoma multiforme – stage IV)
First I want to say thanks to everyone for all the comforting words, words of wisdom & advice, and donations – it made this whole thing easier knowing how many people care. My casino affiliate friends are SO REAL. Thanks, SO MUCH from both of us!!
NOW THE GOOD NEWS:We went in on the 23rd and got the results from our MRI scan that was done after the major chemo therapy and radiation therapy Kristen received.
They came back “as good as could possibly be expected” according to all the doctors who were smiling this day – when normally they were all quite sullen.
The MRI showed NO tumor masses, NO tumor nodules; nothing but what they call a “linear dural enhancement” which is fancy talk for a straight line of what could be a couple of things:
(a) tumor growth
(b) vascular tissue / result from surgery
(c) calcium deposit / result from surgeryThey called in a neurosurgeon and radiologist who confirmed as best they could (no one likes to say for sure in this business) that it was either ( or (C) — most likely NOT cancer related.
We do another MRI in 3 months to make sure nothing else starts up and will continue with MRIs every 3 months.
Kristen is going back on Temodar the chemo agent they used, but last time she had to do it for 6 weeks (*7 days a week) in conjunction with radiation therapy …. this time she will only have to do it 5 days a MONTH with NO more radiation … so it shouldn’t get her as sick this time around. She still gets sick every once in awhile, but is truly getting better. I will post a new pictures soon.
If anyone ever needs help/support/information on this type of cancer, feel free to have them contact me. We have an excellent Chinese herbalist / accupuncturist who has a full prescription of amino acids, herbs, vitamins and minerals we are taking as well as cancer fighting mushrooms: agaricus blazeii, Cordyceps sinensis, Coriolus versicolor, Poria cocos, Hericium erinaceus, Schizophyllum commune.. more.. We have learned alot.
THANK YOU ALL! WE LOVE YOU!

Live for today! :happydanc
