An affiliate manager represents his / her affiliate’s interest to the Casino or Poker Room. Ensuring that campaigns are executed correctly by supplying affiliates the latest news and occurrences within the group of casinos. Promotional activities and strategies are shared with affiliates to help them maintain their sites content.
Affiliate Managers do not lie or cheat affiliates out of their players and payments that are due. They are there to aid affiliates in increasing their revenue. Not all campaigns work the same for every affiliate, but knowing your market will certainly help in increasing traffic.
Affiliate Managers ensure that all affiliates are paid correctly and timeously.
Affiliate specific promotions are run to encourage and reward affiliates.
Affiliate Managers need affiliates to help them better their service to not only affiliates but players too. Affiliate Programs should be seen as partners not as a hindrance. Constant tracking checks and fresh creative is supplied to affiliates. Affiliate Managers keep an extra eye open on the industry so they can pre-warn affiliates of changes or opportunities in the industry.Affiliate Managers need affiliates to do well so they look good – working together and not against each other is the only way to better conversions and take home income.

Thanks, very well said and I agree.
From an Affiliate Relations point of view – it’s challenging at times – but it’s a mutually beneficial relationship and if both parties commit to built this relationship – the results are almost always rewarding.
Have a great weekend.

Affiliate Relations ManagerFebruary 20, 2005 at 7:18 pm #661869AnonymousInactiveHi Chezza
I’m pretty new to posting on CAP, even though I’ve been in the industry for a while. From my experience one of the key roles of an affiliate manager is communication.
And to communicate we must first be able to listen to what the needs are before we start talking about our solutions.
Once we really understand what’s needed it becomes much easier to provide timely information, resources and support.
I’m looking forward to becoming more involved.

Well I hope my post made some affiliate managers wake up and create some awareness in affiliates as to how we should all work together.
Good Luck for the week ahead :wink-wink

I wholeheartedly agree. As a new Affiliate Manager on the scene I planned to bring this attitude/methodology and I’m glad affiliates share the vision of what my position should provide for them.
I hope affiliates will give CasinoRewards.com because of this.
Sincerely,
