Was recently just on TV here, ( I didn’t reliese it was a rerun as never seen the show)
But nearly fell out of my chair when seen them get a 200 grand investment from theo
for their online bingo business. If only so lucky,

Anybody know these guys gaming alerts .uk ect?

looked at their website – thats one hell of an investment from theo.

Interested to see if anyone knows them in the industry ect and how they ended up?

I mean from what I read, its not all about just money but where u spend it.

in this industry and the smarts of where you spend it

    anywhoo here is the article

Her is another article, this one says 2007, damn aussies receive tv shows late lol.

anyways still nothing coming up on search on cap, about this show and investment so still worthwhile posting even though its old here is another article.

and the show said they wanted to make a comparison site, given looking at their site nowa and it being 2012 , for 200 grand the money obviously hasn’t gone into the website no offence but it wasn’t what they were displaying on the boards for the investement.

I was surprised they got such an investment, the site looks as though it hardly has any traffic (empty forums etc) and there was nothing special about it, for £200k he could have easily built a good network of sites with a lot of marketing and branding and kept 100%
This is also a good post about it Theo Paphitis is robbed of £200k for 30% of affiliate site Gaming Alerts in Dragons Den TV show | Kieron Donoghue

The webdesign they showed him on the show actually looked pretty good it was suppose to be multiple comparison of sites with download enables, .

and they were very hesitant about giving him extra percentage, his wife plays bingo every night that was one of his insperations.

I know the founders of gaming alerts and whilst there were big plans, it didnt take off.

I was surprised at the investment on dragon’s den but online gaming is obviously not theo’s bag

if it wasn’t for the seemingly verified reports of the authenticity of this PR, I would have assumed that this was just a story.

£200K is a big stake that can be invested much better than!

    :nono: HAH!

I’ll ‘cut him in’ for only $200,000 not £200,000 and even send him a gift basket of fruit and nuts.

They did want to focus just on bingo maybe that was the problem just focusing on bingo.
Thats alot of money they must be shattered.

But as I said before there actual website as it is now, doesn/t look anything like what they said they were going to do with the site on the show. With the boards it looked good on the show how their site was going to operate.

Oh well, as they say its how you spend it not how much you have.

Very, very interesting move. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, casinodude.

I’m just a little confused, what do you think the motive really is for the investor? Do you think this is a sign that there are big things behind online bingo?

Hi Jillo and no probs, the show only just recently aired here, the movite for the investor theo was I think he seen that his wife played online bingo every night.
And although the other dragons den investors didn’t go with it i think this is what inspired him, so theo did.

But they didn’t seem to pull it off from this investment? from some posts in this thread.., this was of course 2007 maybe would have been a different story today? not sure. I think there are great things for online bingo if done right.
