Poker Nordica which was once the 2nd largest Merge poker skin has closed as of yesterday. here is the email they sent out to players.
Hi
We unfortunately need to close down Poker Nordica from April 1th 2012!
If you have any funds in your Poker Nordica account, you can visit the URL on the client login screen. This will take you to a page where you can login to the Poker Nordica cashier and request a withdrawal.
Alternatively, if you have another active account within the Merge Network and would like your balance transferred over, please email support@pokernordica.com and give them your alternate account details and they will arrange the transfer.
We wish all our players the best in the future!

Whoa…. thanks for the update fonzi. This is a pretty big deal… Do you feel like this move came from no where, or was this expected among affiliate partners?

Apparently, there have been rumblings of issues with Poker Nordica for the past few months. We have some initial details of the closure here:

I have promoted Nordica in the past, though never generated any income.
Yet again I’m notified of a program closure from a forum, rather than being notified by the program themselves! I shouldn’t be surprised, but it still shocks me – they have the nerve to shut down and not notify their affiliates. I guess it’s a lot easier to just disappear, rather than dealing with angry affiliate emails…
