I am “new” to the gaming side of the business. My background is in online adult and high-risk payment processing. Thought I’d post here… this is what I have going so far.

Input, thoughts, comments?
Is it just me or are the statistics for gaming affiliate programs a little “slow”.
February 7, 2006 at 11:38 pm #682904AnonymousInactiveYou are going to need a ton of content in order to get anywhere. I like the frontpage, but everything leads to nowhere. I don’t see any ‘call to action’ and I don’t see anything that would make a surfer ‘want’ to be there.
Sorry…. Just being honest. Add a great deal of real, unique content and focus on a product or products and you will do fine.
February 8, 2006 at 12:23 am #682909AnonymousInactiveIt takes an enormous amount of dedication and creativity but little by little you will see results.
I write sometime 2-3 300-500 word articles a day, every day (almost), optimize the Meta Tags, post on my various sites and after eight months of doing this almost non-stop I am starting to see some meager results.
It is not easy and it is only because I have been semi-successful at this before that I am motivated to continue. Without that prior taste of success I most likely would have given up by this point.
I am not trying to be discouraging, just realize that you might have to spend a lot of time ‘plugging away’ just to see some fruits of your labor.
As for your site, it looks nice, but with only 3 links to CON games, your site seems to consist of simply an index page alone at this time. This really wont generate any traffic, you need hundreds of pages optimized for different keywords and phrases to garner some of that all importatnt SE traffic and, since your site most likely will be in the Google Sandbox for at least a year, you have a good year of time to write, write, write and write some more.
There are folks on here who have database driven, dynamic sites with thousands of pages so just think about what you are competing against: 1 page versus thousands and you can start to appreciate the level at which you must strive to achieve.
I wish you all the best!
Oh yeah, and you need luck too! I now have about 10 regular players and, guess what? In January every last one finished in the black! LOL!

February 8, 2006 at 12:31 am #682914AnonymousInactiveI like it. It’s unique, and I bet a lot of visitors will like it too.
I believe strongly in starting with a unique idea and then learning to weave in the sales.
Keep building, you’ve got a ways to go!

Thanks, I am going to add and change it as I go along.

Welcome…and…coming from Adult you must know about the importance of some of the Meta Tags…specifically the Title Tag.
Go see the Meta Tag Analyzer: xhttp://scrubtheweb.com/abs/meta-check.html
[go to the bottom of the page and “process url”]
If nothing else…See – “Basic Example of a Robot Listing…The example listing below is what this Web page ‘may’ look like in search results presented by the major search engines.”You could have 10 words or less in your Title Tag….I’m suggesting. I’m sure that you know the rest…description tag etc.
NOW – you asked my favorite question:
“Is it just me or are the statistics for gaming affiliate programs a little “slow”.”
SLOW – you ask?
So – do you mean that the stats run slowly…as in…their servers are slow?
OR
As Dictionary.com says: “Not having or exhibiting intellectual or mental quickness” – vis a vis – with reference to the slowness of stats in keeping up with the norm of providing referring url’s in their stats – and/or the completeness of their stats – in that regard? Daily info – for example?
As in – most Stats are pretty lame – you ask?If so – see thread:
http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/best-stat-program-for-affiliates.9787.html?And best of luck with your new site.

Well, they seem to update their stats every 6 hours or so, maybe less. Another one I looked at does it every 6 minutes. That’s what I meant by slow. The stats aren’t very detailed either, no conversion rates and what not.
But… I guess that’s how it is

Well, hello mtor… aka. Gridtalker!
The internet is small. Thought I’d find out a little more about the gaming business. Done lots of payment processing for it before but never really gone into the industry.
My ICQ number is 269208831 incase somebody wants to get in touch with me…
