Thread: Layout

Layout
I am not a big fan of the "new" layout.
I liked to start at the bottom of the forum each day and look for the new threads for EACH program. It was nice to see everything on one page.
I know I can simply click the "new posts" link, but I really liked the old layout.
It's a pain to go into each software type to see what's going on with each program.
Just my thoughts - Perhaps others feel the same way. -

I kinda do yes.
I was thinking about what if affiliates didnt know which software a certain casino uses (could happen) it would mean they have to search through to find. Nice idea but not ideal I dont think.
I did prefer the old layout with the sponsored programs listed on one page though.

I don't like the new layout at all. It took me 20 minutes the other day to find a program. I like to see them all listed as they were before. So much easier to find someone. It was so easy to scan up or down the page and find who you were looking for. If I were new to the business (well I am as I've only been doing this for 6 months) I would definitely be looking for a much more "user friendly" site. This is just my opinion.

So do you want it back the way it was exactly?
People were complaining the front page was too long.
What if it just shows the category, you click on that and all pop up?
It can be whatever you want it to be. Should we do a poll?dominique

The length of the first page never bothered me.
It was nice to have everything on one page.
The fewer clicks the better. -

I think a poll would be good but then maybe it wouldn't. I am fairly new (6 months) and even tho I work with a great affiliate (GamTrak), I still find myself having to go look at my private office to see what type of gaming software somebody uses because I can't remember. I think all new affs will run into this same problem. Sure the ones that are well know are easy to remember but those that aren't I gotta go look.
It was very easy to see all the new posts when they were are all one page. Just my opinion.

Well, the idea was that if one wanted to add for instance a new RTG to ones site, it would be easy to see what all programs are rtg.
Maybe we can do that in some other way though...ideas?dominique

Yeh i agree it is easier if you are looking at adding specific softwares but for those looking for a specific group but not knowing what software they are then thats where the issue is.
It's one that will not please everyone so its a case of getting used to it I think and learning who is with who!
It does make it neater and more compact though. - 03-20-2009 12:30 PM #9Moderator - Big Kahuna

Maybe the software could be noted with the name?
