Pres. Bush says he went on the “internets” and used “the google” for maps.
What is it with the politicians and “the internets”?
Last thing I heard is one saying he got a mail on “the internets” and it didn’t arrive til yesterday and wondering why.
Bush apparently also said that there were “rumors on the internets”.
I understand that the “internets” is a series of tubes clogged up by lots and lots of movies and pokerchips, as was explained to me by a US politician here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQxI4bI09Nc .
Perhaps we should blame Al Gore, who said he invented the internet. At least he didn’t say “internets”, so maybe he knew what he was talking about?
But who is “the Google”? Is it “the Donald’s” associate?

The Google may be a way to state that a company is very successful and thus considered important in our society. It’s kind of like saying I googled the keywords or I googled my name, a way or dressing up a speech. To say, “Last night I went on Google” is too boring. “Last night I went on The Google” brings some smiles to some faces and dresses up the speech.

Nice sarcasm. This goon is the most inept moron that this country has seen since the mid 1960’s. Yale will take anyone that has the cash that his family has. I think he wasn’t trying to be cute here — I think it is sheer ignorance.October 28, 2006 at 11:04 pm #713799AnonymousInactiveThe Google also declared we cant use its name on the internets whenever we want

October 28, 2006 at 11:37 pm #713803AnonymousInactiveJust because you went to Yale and got an MBA (1st President in history) doesn’t mean that your educated. Heck, look at some of our posters. I’m sure that they must have at least passed the 8th grade!:shakebutt

October 29, 2006 at 5:32 pm #713873AnonymousInactiveHe probably doesn´t want to know where Iraq and Afghanistan are as long as the people that fly air force 1 know. I guess he was looking for a Burger place nearby.
By the way, Keith Olberman uses “the Google” in his closing line in this funny video about “staying the course”
