Ok can anyone update us on ICE? How’s the show going? Anything interesting to report?
January 29, 2004 at 3:57 pm #644095AnonymousInactiveI canceled my trip at the last minute, the thought of getting on a plane, flying all that way and into the cold just broke me. Would like a report from those who did go.

Some interesting developments with a few of the traditional offline gaming console developers such as TCS John Huxley introducing internet gambling kiosks.
Microgaming and Boss Media were there and I River City group had a stand as well.
It’s amazing how addictive the play for free versions of offline slots are. I was playing one free play machine for over an hour.

Was there any discussions/presentations about Payment Processing and possible new solutions for the US market?
Any new online games previews by Microgaming or Boss Media?
Do you know if Boss Media is planning further consolidations among their licensees or will they launch new properties in the future?
January 30, 2004 at 9:26 am #644116AnonymousInactiveUnfortunately I didn’t see any payment processing solutions for US players. (An issue that is of major concern to all of us).
When I spoke with Referback a while ago they were telling me that the focus on US players is to send them through to Neteller branded landing pages.
What comes after Neteller is surely in development (but no-one is talking about it – or if they are, not to me
:p)Boss media and Microgaming were demonstrating their Bingo and Poker rooms. I get the feeling that these community led multiplayer games is where the attention is now being paid.
I can’t answer your last question about consolidation because I really don’t know the answer.

Those of you who have been to these shows before will not have missed anything except the most important part – networking
January 31, 2004 at 5:49 pm #644168AnonymousInactiveSpearmaster is correct of course, the most important part is networking.
If you are into playing all kinds of games – they were certainly there. The variety of games offered was mindboggling. There is a lot of online/offline connection starting to emerge – games served online and piped into land casinos. Looks interesting and allows for all sorts of games.
Re. Boss: I think they are probably close to done shaking out. Hopefully they will make more creatives available in future. The only ones with a decent selection of materials are the ones Raj from Housewinnings offers.
No new payment solutions officially offered – but there were a couple of new people I talked to who were fixing to offer new cards to charge from, based in European countries.
Sounds like a reasonable solution – if everyone can agree on one. If it will be a jungle of cards – it will just make matters worse.
So far we are looking at neteller…
London had snow while I was there – very unusual and the gardens sure looked pretty all in white! Usually the only thing white there are the Queen’s swans…
