Pederson for Senate
So, I went and made a nice big contribution to the Pederson campaign today because I want to see that asshat Kyl be the first casualty of this bill (this was his bill, not Frists). I don't know hardly anything about Jim Pederson, so I don't have an opinion of him except that he is Kyl's opponent.
I got a call back from Jake at the Pederson office and he asked what my motivation was. So I explained about the gambling bill and we talked about how to bring this up in a campaign. We both agreed it is tricky to come out pro-gambling, but he assured me that Pederson doesn't give a **** what people did with their own money in their leisure time. There may be the possibility for Pederson to frame this as a Freedom of Choice issue in the very Libertarian state of Arizona. They are going to talk about it internally. If we can get more people on board to show support, they may push it to the front.
He is only behind Kyl by 6 points right now. They could win this thing. If Kyl loses and it's because of poker players or affiliates, that could send a serious message to these idiots that messing with our rights will not be tolerated. Remember, Frist pushed through Joh Kyl's bill. This guy needs to be taken out.
They need some cash to fight this guy. If you can donate $25 or whatever, go for it. Kyl needs to go. He has been a thorn in the side of this industry for too long.

Just contributed $500; I would love to see Kyl out of office! The PPA, casinos, affiliate programs, affiliates, players etc should be contributing to this guys campaign funds. We really need that guy out of office.

Pitched in $200. Will contribute more later once I get the rest of my September earnings paid to me.
I want that S.O.B. gone so bad. I know it won't change what has been done so far, but we need to make a F***ing statement!
Jon Kyl and his buddies in Congress spend 1/3 of my money and I have no real say in what they do with it. I resent the fact that they tell me how I can spend the other 2/3 of it and I also am pissed that they are damaging my livelihood too.
This is our best shot to send a message. Let's get this MF!Xgambler -

You can't contribute if you are not a US citizen
Edited to add the following:
Here is a poll that was just released: http://www.angus-reid.com/polls/inde...m&itemID=12600
If you are a US citizen you can either contribute directly through their site's contribution page, https://www.onlinesslserver.com/pede...06/contribute/
You can also go to http://www.pederson2006.com/ and navigate through there.
Or you can probably contribute if you call their HQ at (602) 262-2006
You might want to choose the last option if you are a US citizen but currently overseas, as they might block transactions from foreign IPs.
Also, if you are not a USA citizen, don't contribute; the election laws are rougher than you might think for foreign nationals trying to influence US elections.Last edited by xgambler; 10-10-2006 at 05:43 PM.

If you're a US citizen outside the states, I'm not sure what you can do. I'll find out.
