Has anyone heard from BB1 or have an update since the post about the fire?
The only thing I have heard was the first post by the person who indicated BB1 had an accident. Its been silence ever since. Hopefully thats because Steve is busy rehabbing and recovering and hasnt had a chance to update us.

I PMed her and asked if she knew how he is doing and if she has contact details for him. I have spoken with Steve on the phone several times in the past, but I dont have his number handy.
Ok, Krystal is out of the country and doesnt have Steve’s number with her, but she is going to have her assistant look for it and get back to me.
She said she hasnt heard anything either and is also worried…

Yeah, me too. Steve was the first person on CAP to welcome me here and he sent a nice PM telling me all the casinos I was promoting at the time were rubbish.
He was right. He’s one of the good guys, so let’s hope he’s A-OK.
This is amazingly strange and something is just not right…
Ok, I decided I would do my best to track down Steve and find out how he is doing. I called the phone number friends had for him and this was also the one listed in whois, No one ever answers the phone.
Since its been 12 days since the first post about him being in the hospital and since no one has heard anything from him since then I was more then a little worried. So I figured I would do my best to figure out where he is and his status. I checked all available records online, hes wasnt listed in Obituaries thank god, he wasnt in any news records for “man burned” in Kansas City, Stilwell, Stanley or anywhere else in Kansas. Then I remembered he worked in the family Sod business prior to becoming an affiliate, his first site is still named KCSod in recognition of this. Well…. I searched for Briggs Sod in Kansas City and Bingo! I came up with Briggs Borthers sod

Ok so I call them and this is where the story gets really weird and creepy. A man answers the phone and I say:
“Hi, this call may sound a little strange, but I am looking for a friend of mine and I believe he’s a family member of the Briggs, his name is Steve Briggs and well we had heard he was injured in a fire recently, about two weeks ago, then we didnt hear anything else… I was wondering if you knew Steve?”
the fellow answers “Yeah, ok I know Steve”
That’s it he doesnt continue… Odd….
So I ask “Well can you tell me if he’s ok? Is he still in the hospital?”
He answers again “Ok, yeah”
Thats it. He offers nothing else.
so I ask “Well is he still in the hosiptal? Can you tell me what happened is he going to be ok?”
He answers again “Yeah, Ok, yeah he’s still in the hospital, you seem to know everything I know about it”
I was floored! This was extremely odd and evasive behavior. If my brother was in the hospital and friends called to check on him I would have had a ton more to say, but no, this guy was like talking to a clam.
So I said “Well, if you see Steve or talk to him can you let him know his friends wish him well and we are all worried about him”
he answers
“Yeah, Ok”That’s its, he doesnt ask who I am, what friends are worried about him, how to get back to us or anything. He’s just relieved that I wasnt going to keep asking questions about Steve.
Something just aint right here….

I dont know steve but i do hope he is alright.
Im overwhelmed by the sheer love for the community here and how you go out of your way to do all this it is great to see and just unusual in the world we live in these days on especially on the internet.

I think the logical explanation here is that they were instructed not to give out any info
If something is seriously or permanently wrong that might affect his working, they might want to keep that info away from bankers, collectors, etc, until they get things sorted out
I really don’t know what to make of this situation, i’m thinking that something very odd happened since nobody wants to give details, and i’m also thinking its serious and life changing for some reason
It’s weird, and hopefully Steve will be back soon and tell us the story once he is fully recovered

but that call was really disturbing.It seems odd that if the family wanted to keep Steves situation hush hush that someone would post here at CAP to inform the world that a problem even existed….

Was BB1 planning on attending the CAC next month? If so maybe Mark has some updated contact info and can give him a call or an email.
