Virgin Poker is now licensed by the Maltese Lotteries and Gaming Authority and is operated from Malta. This licence was issued on 1st September 2007.
In the past we have received queries from Danish players as to the jurisdiction from which Virgin Poker is operated as a result of the Danish Tax Council Ruling in April 2006. This advised that winnings earned by Danish players through internet poker rooms will be taxed as income unless they are operated from an EU Member State.
Since we are now operating from Malta, which is an EU Member State, future winnings will NOT be subject to taxation by the Danish tax authorities*. :hattip:
