    Dear Webmasters and Affiliate Programs:

The APCW has no intention to shut down or curb our actions in light of the new prohibitions so foolishly passed by the US Collection of Liars and self-serving fascists. We will continue to be “business as usual”.

However, we would like to make a public statement to programs like Party Poker, Focal Click, Casino Pays and the like… who no longer accept US Players: We told ya so… again.

For several months, the APCW and other industry webmasters warned programs to take this bill seriously. We practically begged you to do something… anything… to help stop passage of this bill. All we heard back (if we heard a reply from you at all) was “Don’t worry…” . Well, you were wrong.

The APCW would like to gently remind you all that if any of you would have taken a fraction of the money you spent on advertising in a month… a fraction of what you spend on market research and product development… or just the amount you would have spent on one party at CAC… this outcome may have been different.

The online gaming industry had access to 30 million US voters in your databases. So much could have been done… but most programs just sat there and did nothing. Online casinos may blame the US Government for this law, but the truth is they should blame themselves. The US Congress tried to pass a bill for 10 years while they raked in profits and failed to act. It’s not like they couldn’t see this coming.

Had any program had the fortitude to do something creative — other than fiddle while Rome was burning — then this industry may have moved in a different direction. Now, they have now lost over 50% of their business… much more than would have ever been spent saving it.

Instead of investing some capital to educate the American public, or to lobby with great vigor, or to push for regulation, you have now lost so much more than you would have in the short-term. And this will cost you much more in the long run.

We still believe in this industry, and have the greatest confidence that we can pull through this. In the future, however, maybe you should develop a division dedicated to listening to your partners more. Even listening a little would have helped.
