    New brand campaign kicks off following public vote

    Paddy Power launches their first brand TV campaign this week as part of a major investment in 2009 to support the brand around key sporting events.

    The two launch ads will feature former Champion Jockey Richard Dunwoody and former England football player Carlton Palmer, with other nostalgic sports personalities set to feature in further executions later in the year.

    The campaign will promote Paddy Power’s industry-leading concessions, launching this weekend, before the Carling Cup Final.

    Carlton Palmer’s appearance is particularly unique in what is believed to be an advertising first following a public vote. The bookmaker allowed the public to vote on which former footballer from a shortlist supplied, they would most like to see appear in the bath-time themed execution. Paddy Power customers and the public cast their votes on the dedicated site
