    Hi all!

I just stumbled on your board today, and it looks great!

I am an affiliate for a major poker site. I do okay, but nothing outstanding. Recently, I have aquired a mailing list from one of the major poker sites. I sent out a mailout card to the list last week, and some signups are filtering in.

    Here are my questions:

    1. What should i expect in signups? (percentage wise) I sent out a very professional mailout (that cost me alot :) ) to each address. The list I have is ACTIVE real money players at one of the major poker sites.

    2. What, in your opinion is the best use of this list?

Thank you for any help. Hopefully, in the near future I can repay with some wisdom of my own.

    Here are some stats.

    List size: 10k
Signups so far (mailout was last wednesday): 85
    Real money signups: 9

    Comments appreciated.

    Skippy.

Which program provided you with a mailing list?

Boy, I would love to get a hold of that list!

I’ll do almost anything for real player lists.

The answer to your question depends on the quality of the list, and how fresh it is.

I don’t want to say where I got the list from. It’s not that I am hiding information from everyone, because noone else could get their hands on it. I am, shall we say, very lucky to have it. :)

    Dominique

The list is very high quality, people who are active real-money players. It is also very fresh, maybe a couple weeks old at most.

    skippy.

Did they give this list to you, or did you get it by some other means?

I wouldnt think affiliate programs would give away email list numerous reasons why this would be a no-no. Maybe I should start asking programs for email list too ;)

Randy is right. Not with the sites themselves, but with another agent.

Where I got the list is not really important. Was just hoping that someone might help me to use the list in the best possible way.

I understand if noone wants to share their secrets. I was originally thinking about also sending some mailouts advertising for sports betting sites, as alot of poker players like to bet on sports.

Sorry if anyone thought I was bragging or anything else.

Personally, I would send them to reputable casinos which aren’t as well known as others, just to be sure they haven’t signed up under another aff’s id already.

Phoenicians is one, Cool Cat Casino is another. Cool Cat is a new RTG, and is showing some decent conversions.

    Phoenicians has multiplayer poker.

There are many more, but I don’t wanna have to think that hard right now. :p

    Good luck!

    Fergie,

I noticed you are in Canada. I’m in Vancouver, you as well?

So you are saying that online casinos are a better option than say, sportsbooks? I wonder what the signup rate would be for both of these options.

Thanks for all your help, eh?

    ;)
