I have a little bit of info to contribute here.

I contacted the grandprive group yesterday, and got into a very loud discussion with the only members left over there that i know…

Jackie.- She has been one of our contact people with this casino group from day one, she has worked with all the forum owners, and knows the history of all of us, and our records as affiliates. and this is what took place yesterday.

I called looking to find out any info i could, and its seems as of Monday, Irwin was let go. They used him for what they needed, and then dumped him on the curb, where he belongs after treating us so badly i may add.

When i asked Jasmine, to ask Jackie to get on the phone with me, [ she knows me well for over 5 years now, has worked with me on contests and marketing etc…] She replied ” Irwin is no longer with the company, and the company know longer has an affiliate program with the USA borders. ” So, no , she will not get on the phone, and talk or answer any quesitons, we are on our own, and its business as usual for them!!!!!!!

I can not believe how unprofessional this conversasion was yesterday. Jackie was always a “Buy the Book” person over there, and now, it seems that was all an act to?

I don’t know if any of this is new news to you, or if needed or wanted news. Just felt the need to tell off a couple of “old friends” over there, and then come back and share any info i could get.

I will be writing a thread at my sites and linking to everyone here in this thread if ok? and will be around to help in any way needed.

Thanks, and good luck, and lets not let this

Your completely wrong there Pat, he only did his job and what he was told to do! He is out of a job now, why is that where he belongs? Iwrin is a good person and he was very upset about this whole thing and he had nothing to do with how this program decided to close the doors, why do you think he is gone! He was sick over this for weeks and he don’t deserve that statement you made. I hope to see him in another program soon working with affiliates.

Excuse me, Bonusstreak, but i am speaking from my own experience working with all of the affiliate managers over there for the past few months. No email answers, no phone call answers, always being told that they are in meetings or what not, and cant come to the phone,
…you may have your own experience with them, and i and others may have our own, and they may not agree, but it makes no one wrong here…..the ones that are wrong are the ones who were involved in this crap. and excuse me but Irwin is a big boy, don’t tell me he did not see this coming, He knew what he was doing.

I have know you for years n ow, and you never liked Grand Bay, ever….only when they did what you wanted , which is fine, but don’t come back at me now, for saying what i have to say about this situation when i am one of the only ones in the past 6 years to stick with this group, even back in the day when ,YOU were roguing them all over your forum!!!

Irwin lied to me, lied to everyone, and knew he was, and i am sorry he is out of a job, but it looks like with his help, he put all of us in need of a new job!!

Well sorry you feel the way you do Triple 7’s affiliate programs don’t work they way you seem to think they do simple fact is affiliate managers do what they are told plain and simple. I have no plans to get in a pissing match with you this is about affiliates being screwed over by the OWNER of the casinos not about Irwin.

I really don’t think attacking each other over this is going to help our cause either, we are suppose to stand together and fight against them not squabble among ourselves so I will ignore your insults. Your right I rogued them for my players when they were behaving badly. We dropped them as sponsors and stood up for our players and lost thousands of dollars doing so!!! That is when we stopped trusting this group and dropped exposure and that is why now we are not suffering with a huge loss with this closure BUT we are here blacklisting and standing up for the wrong that is going on with our fellow webmaster friends that are taking a loss, like you!

It’s very sad that Irwin took the fall and got fired after doing the dirty work.
Hopefully he will find a new home, and learn from this horrible experience.
I don’t deal too much with any of the managers on any regular basis to be honest, but I wouldn’t agree that they are all “Yes” men or women.

Some of the ones I do know a little bit about would quit before blatently screwing affiliates.
Perhaps Irwin should have too, but that’s easier said than done sometimes.
I’ll cut him some slack because this was a really off the wall thing that none of us expected.

G.W. is a perfect example. They have had some decent managers over the years that I trusted a lot, but they always wound up quiting or getting fired when they tried to do the right thing.

David Malloy, Jon Jon, John Hartley, Nicholas, and even Simon Eaton and Natalie perhaps.
Not sure about the reasons for Natalie and Simon, but I’m pretty sure they knew things were not right there.
So I think we should cut Irwin some slack on this.
He just got caught up in a really BAD situation, IMO.

One last comment on this. LOL

The real issue IMO is the VIOLATION of the one thing that is paramount to the ENTIRE Industry, and that is “Trust”
This Industry was built on it. While there have been many breeches of that trust, Microgaming was NEVER one of them.

Regardless of whether there is or isn’t a legal problem with what has occured, NO ONE in their Right Mind could ever say there in no ETHICAL or MORAL violation of the trust we all dearly depend on in this Industry as Players and Affiliates.

If Microgaming doesn’t step up to the plate on this, then other operators, AT ANY TIME IN THE FUTURE could pull this same exact stunt.
Why wouldn’t they if they were faced with going under, or screwing the entire affiliate community??

I think Microgaming should be stepping up here to protect their brand, the competing operators that are honoring their agreements, and lastly to protect the integrity of the Industry itself.

I agree CPA! Microgaming and others have been way to quite on this matter. My view of staying in this industry as a way to make a living has drastically changed upon seeing Grand Prive do this! If this behavior is allowed to take place then we are all screwed! I think it’s time to brush up on my technical skills so I can generate some reliable income.

I was hoping that this could be resoved by the next pay period, but don’t look like that’s NOT going to happen.

I understand why everyone feels the need to defend Irwin, he seemed like one of the only decent people over at Grand Bay for the past year or so. But>>>>> a couple of months ago i was going through a very hard time, as you all know, and i had a very good relationship with Irwin , as an affiliate and friend. He prayed with me, and talked to me about having hope and faith, and getting through the tough times, and all along, was involved in this bullshit.

I have every right to feel the way i do Bonusstreak, sorry if you don’t approve, and if Irwin is such an upstanding man, go ask him about it, and see what he says. Please do not sit here and try to act like you know everything and your word is the only word. Others have dealings with the same people as you, but end with different endings and opinions.

I have been stolen from, this company was my biggest money maker for the past 6 years, and for the past year, they have fallen off sooo bad, i knew i was getting screwed somewheres. who knows how far back this goes?? I still don’t believe that we got credited for all of our players back when GrandPrive was introduced…i lost players then that never came back….now am i supposed to believe what ever they say to be gold???

    anyway, i do agree,
i am with this community, and we all have our own opinions and ,,, that does not mean i am trying to get into a ” pissing match” with you either. But, i will stick to what i beleive and still support this community.

I think it’s time to brush up on my technical skills so I can generate some reliable income.

I think that’s good advice for everyone actually.

In our case, I’m not going to add any new casinos unless they can afford to at least pay a nominal fee for it, and I’m limiting it to a few from now on.
I know, some people have done this for years, but we never did that.
In 2009 I’m going to completely change up again.

Years ago we STOPPED promoting a few places, and spread our traffic all over the place because too many places were closing up owing us money.
That was a spread the losses concept!:roflmao:
But that concept also minimizes the good places at the same time.
Tough decision, IMO, but that was what we did for years.

We’re going to reverse that this year, and focus hard on a few programs that are solid, and if they are new to us, they are going to pay a small fee so I feel better that they aren’t operating on a shoestring budget! :wink-wink
I think there are plenty of them right now, BTW, so be careful!!!!

Anyway, just another option to consider in these uncertain times.
