London, August 24. Thanks to 202 enthusiastic poker players from across Europe, Everest Poker posted a new record turnout for the Spanish Poker Tour.
Many of Europe’s top players were among those battling it out for €190,000 prize pool. Top European players included SPT Ibiza Champion Javier Martínez Gil, Swedish Poker Champion 2008 Ola Brandborn, Team Everest’s María Maceiras and Antoine Saout, the 3rd place finisher in the 2009 WSOP Main Event and international top model Mark Vanderloo, who recently won the SPT Ibiza Side Event (€4600).
Congratulations to our 2010 SPT Castellon winner! France’s Julien Pouchain outlasted over 200 other players to win the title. Pouchain cashed €63,000, a record payout in the Tour’s three-year history.
Now in its third season, the SPT is fast becoming one of Europe’s most popular poker tours, taking players to the most beautiful destinations throughout Spain. After the huge success of Castellón, the excitement is building up for this season’s fourth stop in Valencia on October 1–3, 2010.
