Paris, June 8 2010 — Today, Everest Poker was granted a poker license from Arjel, the French gaming authority. With this license, Everest Poker will launch the French platform EverestPoker.fr for real money play as soon as the new regulation — expected by end of June 2010 —goes into effect.

For Mangas Gaming, France’s largest private gaming operator and owner of Everest Poker and BetClic, this is a major step in the development of the online gaming market in France and Europe.

“It’s with great pride and a strong sense of responsibility that Everest Poker and the BetClic teams are receiving this decision from ARJEL,” says Nicolas Beraud, General Manager of Mangas Gaming, President and Founder of Betclic.

Everest Poker is one of the few European poker rooms using proprietary technology. Known for their international gaming expertise, Everest Poker was the first online poker room offering software fully translated into French, as well as 14 other languages.

Some of today’s most successful international poker pros began their careers playing online at Everest Poker. Since 2004, Everest Poker has offered one of the world’s best online gaming experiences while building a strong reputation as the online poker room dedicated to fostering energetic poker communities across the globe.

“Online gaming is bound to become a real industry for the French economy. Our group has the ambition to lead this change with the biggest European groups. We are committed to success in the French market with our passion, skills and conduct” says Isabelle Parize, Vice-President of Mangas Gaming.
