I was under the impression the Microgaming software prevents a player from France placing real bets. I’m guessing this would include both IP and past added address details, etc etc.

Playing the Devils Advocate here.

The IP can be changed to use one outside France. The address would also have to changed to one in an accepted MGS region. The “new address” would have to match the locale of the VPN (IP) used.

I’m not even sure that method would work because knowing how paranoid the Fortune Lounge security team are, they most certainly would want updated proof of ID which matched the new address.

It’s the internet and people could forge documents but that’s a criminal activity. I don’t think anyone would risk it, just so they could play at a MGS casino.

Which brings us to a more troubling concern.

That is, Microgaming casino software can be manipulated by the operator. This of course opens Pandora’s Box because we’ve been brow beaten into thinking the operator can’t tweak the casino software.

If they can override Countries banned by Microgaming, what other claimed (set in stone) settings, can an MGS casino operator override?

As both a player and affiliate, who has and continues to promote Microgaming casinos, matters like this should not go under-ground. They should be keep in the public eye. Anything which can or could affect affiliates earnings or players welfare, needs to be kept in the open – in a public forum!
