You’re correct with your title but your alt tag should be a bit more descriptive. The alt tag is meant for readers that are maybe visually challenged. The device that they use to “read” your webpage would perhaps vocalise your text out loud and also use your alt description of the image to better describe the image to the visually challenged person.

alt = Photograph of Uncle Norman taken in 1912.
or it could be alt = Portrait of Uncle Norman painted in 1912.Hope that helps.
I think that’s the best answer I’ve ever read on the use of titles and alt tags on images. Also helped to remind me to do a better job when adding them myself.
