Thanks Cap and I feel very humbled by this recognition, especially with so many others that have been doing this longer and know more about this industry in general. I am going to take this opportunity to tell you all a story about my family and our history with casinos and ….. I’m just kidding.
Thank you all very much for answering those questions I throw around and for helping me grow. I do not recommend going anywhere else to learn and discuss how to be a successful affiliate then right here at CAP. My experiences that you have played a part in making is what defines my understanding of our industry to date. I do hope that by this time next year I will be able to meet you all in person at the London convention and shake your hands.
When I first found CAP I was simply looking to become an affiliate marketer for online casinos. With my background in theater, science and marketing it was actually a perfect fit. Where science blends into art is the local I have always spent my cerebral life and it has lead to some interesting things, this being one of them. It is a lot like theatrical and architectural lighting design…
How to Start Promoting Casinos Online by Muffincrumbs
1. Understand how much work is involved and figure out where you stand.
If you honestly want to make money that is more than enough to buy bread but less than enough to pay your mortgage, you will need 40 hours a week. If you want to make more than that, you will need to hire out and invest your own money. Some people can work relentlessly and others cannot, and you really need to figure out if you are that type of person right now or not. My approach has been simple, assume the role of 3 full time employees and make a stance that I will invest zero dollars into this venture.
I have never bought a link, paid for a post, sold a spot for advertising, or have exchanged money in any way to promote and market CBR. Not one directory link or even 1$ to speed up an articles review for submission. Absolutely zero money involved and it will always be this way. Consider taking a stance and offering something of quality to the world rather than contextual and graphic garbage. That is the biggest difference I have seen between the best sites like the top members here work on, and the ones you cannot find on the serps.
2. Be professional
A true professional is educated, versed in business ethics, and personable. If you are not these things hire out.
3. Understand negative seoz and find out who done it
Being an affiliate to online casinos is the most competitive sector of an industry I have found myself working in, and I have been attacked by numerous negative seo campaigns from shady webmasters. Without my personal contact at Google, I bet they would work for a while. Keep in mind that encrypted urls and ghost ips are super easy to navigate through for Google since cached storage is so large now. I wonder is someone who is reading this has suffered a manual penalty recently. Anyway, I understand that these things used to work well but for your own sake….ummm…never mind keep trying.
4. Take Advice and Read CAP
If number three scared you, do not worry my precious’. The advice that the great members here have giving openly has been invaluable to me and they bleed with honesty when cut. Reading posts and articles here, asking good questions and being a dedicated affiliate will help launch you toward successes! Thank you all again and I’ll see you soon.
