Initially it will be on a state by state basis – with local authorities attempting to set barriers to entry in order to protect the large land based organisations that want to get into the gravy train. This will not be a good time for US facing affiliates.
However, eventually, the US Federal government will want in on the tax action, as will the specialist online operators, and we will see a scenario play out that will require skilful online marketing with affiliates.
