For a first timer you’ve done a good job.
A couple of suggestions:
- Home page left hand widget “Follow Me”, try to fill the white space which follows that widget. It’s a BIG chuck of empty white space, which is better used for something rather than nothing.
- Top Navigation – works fine until your image post rotation loads. The child nav links under “Poker Strategy” are then hidden behind the image rotation. Tested this on FF, Chrome and IE and got the same result.
- Seems all your outbound links (OBL) go directly to the URL. Use target=_blank on your OBL’s. This way your site remains while the visitor visits the casino/poker room. If they’re not interested your site remains in a browser tab. Also add rel=nofollow to your OBL’s, helps prevent page juice being passed to theses urls.
- Depending on how you redirect to the casinos and poker rooms, could also add the “Noindex, Nofollow” Meta tag to each redirection file.
- Footer links look a bit messy. Always nice to have clean, easy to follow links.
- Meta Keywords are not a top priority these days. Most say they’re not even required. I still use them personally but only add my main 2 or 3 keyword phrases for each page. I’d cull most of what you have.
