Thanks everyone for your great insights!

I really work hard every day to learn new things, and make the site better. It is an endless journey, and a fun one.

I am now affiliated with the above mentioned program, and are looking forward to see how it turns out.

Since my site targets fair play, meaning equal odds games i.e. no zero in roulette for example it would feel weird to have casinos on the site that does not offer that (even though the affiliate deal is better). As it is now only two casinos offer this. In Casino A you get 25% of player losses, in the other Casino B you get 5% of player winnings each time a session ends (but if he/she loses it does not take away money). The thing is that in Casino A you have to download a client to play. The other casino offers instant play as well as other good things. It makes Casino B easier to promote, and get people to sign up to.

I guess I just have to experince if it is worth having this special affiliate deal as Casino B offers. I feel it is better to say to readers that these are the only two casinos in the world.
offering you equal odds roulette, pick what you want. Then saying this is the one casino for you.

To continue the discussion it would be interesting to know how you approach image vs text links. I have used both, and image links gives better click trough rate. But when I researched this by googling, people are talking about “Banner blindness”. Have you noticed this? Is there a best practice here? I try to make the images blend in, but at the same time stand out if that makes sense. So that it doesn’t look like adverts, but more like a part of the site. Also, are there a specific button color that’s better for CTR. Now I have red buttons, which gets peoples attention. But maybe people are more prone to click green buttons?

Also, I would appreciate good tips on things like casino landing pages to use to get more conversions. Is it bad to link directly to sign up page for example? I have messaged my affiliate manager to see if we can work out a custom landing page that suits me. Is this a valid suggestion? What are your experinece when people need to download a client in order to play? I see it as an obstacle, and that people don’t trust downloading files.

To summarize questions:

– Image vs text links: “Banner blindness”, your experience?
– Casino landing pages that converts the most? Asking for custom landing pages ok?
Linking directly to sign up page good/bad?
– Being an affiliate to a Casino where customer needs to download client good/bad?

Love to hear your thoughts on this,

Tommy
