The problem with PageRank is people are very confused about. People get confused about actual try page rank which is part of the google algo and that little green bar at the top. true PR is a continued flow of link juice, that little green bar just gives you a snap shot in a 3-6 month period so I never, ever take any interest in it. Also with the way google work out the scale from PR1 to PR2 to PR3 etc means that a very small fraction of juice (at the snapshot time) can change you from PR1 to PR2 and vica versa. Check out the serps, plenty of sites outrank sites that have better TBPR, simply don’t worry about it and get relevant links instead of chasing PR
