Caseym, this is great information, and you bring up a great point, in fact I would love to hear –

What are other DEAL BREAKERS for affiliates when you are considering an affiliate program?

Hi, here are some of the most common deal breakers, that I am sure many affiliates will point out:

– slow response time. Nothing more aggravating that to wait for a week for your manager to reply. Within the day is perfect, within 48hours should be the maximum wait time an affiliate should put up with (on a business day).. Not gonna start naming brands but I think most of us know those that take long to respond or don’t care at all to respond.

– Performance quota rules: Example. 0 new depositors this month = 10% rev share 1-7 = 15% etc. This is stupid, made only so the operator can get most of the players sent without paying. Affiliates are left with no option but to give the program maximum exposure so they can meet the requirement.

– Failing to deliver. Mostly seen with new programs, promising promotional material and all sort of goodies and then failing to deliver them. If you can’t deliver just don’t promise. I’ve blocked enough managers on skype who have done this. I take it as lying!

– Payment speed. 60% rev share and all sorts of payment options don’t mean a thing to me if the payments never arrive or come always late after me chasing them. I usually prioritize those who pay within the 10th on top, as opposed to those who always send the payments around the 28th-29th

– Stats reports & backend. We affiliates love transparent statistics. We don’t like it being confusing or missing too much important information.

– Honesty. Be honest with us even if your affiliate program isn’t perfect. Don’t hide facts from us, like rev share last 3 years, or we only pay you commission on sports or casino and the rest of the channels we take for ourselves. Let us know this, and we can make our own decission. Failing to do so, will sure get us signed up, then when we find out, we will complain here and on a few other places, most likely list you as predatory/rogue on the AGD and good luck trying to aquire new affiliates.

– Changing terms retroactively. Few good programs (or that used to be good) have done this. Of course many affiliates dropped them, without really carrying past performance and reputation.

I believe there are a lot more but these are just the basics. Oh yea and perhaps the #1 deal breaker would be conversion rate after the first few months. After all 20% from 20-30 players a month is a lot better than 60% of a single player a month.
