I was a little concerned about Slotland damaging their credibility a little over this one but I think that this story is so obviously an April Fool’s joke that no one took it seriously enough to be bothered 
We’ve had lots of positive feedback to this story — including a note from the Lunar Registry thanking us for the publicity! And just for the record… except on April 1st, I would never fabricate a winner story. In fact, twice I’ve quit working for operators that refused to award an advertised prize. One of them is long since out of business (karma!) but PlayersOnly.com is still operating, IU think still run by the same guys that laughed and said (You didn’t think we were actually going to award that prize, did you?!” when I gave them the name of their contest winner.
