Back when I first started in the biz I would check them like a hawk, several years in when I started doing well I checked them less as I knew what I could expect at the end of the month.
These days, with some programs I’ve started checking them once a week to once every two weeks to see how things fluctuate. I like to check them the day before the end of the month too so that I can see which programs have waited till the last day to give me a baby face. I really wish I could turn the clock back to 2004-07 – still holding out hope that things will pick up in time.
I have always wondered if the programs keep track of how often you check your stats … thinking with an evil mind I’ve thought at times that programs might be more apt to shave accounts that were never checked.
