Excellent advice, i have been suprised at a few things iv put up just for the sake of mixing up my content and keeping the sites fresh, some keywords, phrases you wouldnt get from spending hours using the google adwords keyword tool, that have had great results and were pretty much by accident, also alot of people would say put all your efforts into making one or two great sites rather than 20 thin low quality sites, well i have to disagree on this one, yes you should have at least 2 main sites but you should be planning for the future, what if your main site get slapped by google, penalised etc, try and have lots of sites started, watch how they move about in the serps, then when you see one starting to rank, or getting hits, then work on it. I have been pretty much been throwing sites up the last 2 months just trying different niches, i know they wont rank for months but they are up and if they never rank well then you can use them to link to your main sites
