Microgaming > Playtech IMO.
All the CPs of the past Casino Pays / Casino Profits etc really ruined my image of Playtech and no matter what the did those first impressions will be lasting. Back in the day I had no ill thoughts of MGS though the last 2-3 years their casinos have had quite a few more issues that have caused me to rethink everything.
I use a VPN to play games from the USA – actually had one of the MGS programs suggest it to me. After all I still need that access to try new games. 
Both Betsoft and NetEnt have some really nice slot machines – I think MGS is going to step up their game or they will be over taken if/when they every reenter the US.
