Thank you both for your feedback, some great info. This project is in it’s infant stages… Actually it’s more like I’m pregnant and I’d be in my first trimester. 
I was thinking about pushing products through social media without a site but just wanted to hear some thoughts on it. I also posted a “want to buy” post to perhaps acquire a site with some decent traffic and accounts already; then optimizing it around what works best. So yeah, this is all at the beginning stages but I’d like to get under way very soon. All the feedback I’ve gotten from friends, CAP and various sites seem to point towards launching a site. I’ll let you guys know how it all goes, please chime in or PM me anytime if you have any ideas or suggestions. Thanks again.
