Rak did anything ever come of your research? Did you ever start promoting on your account? There’s a fine line of pushing a link from time to time and then just plain spamming your friends and family.
Perhaps a fan page of some sort directing them to your site or displaying offers on your sites would be good.
I don’t think a page has the same level of “trust” and “bonding” that an alias profile does.
Connecting with a person who is just like you is much more appreciated?
