google has nothing to do with your site, it is just a search engine, when you upload new pages your main page should be called index.html or php which ever you are using, what is the url?.
Also when you upload new content to an existing page the content is over ridden, how ever 2 things to note google descriptions are not changed until the search gets round to it and also if you do not see the changes try clearing your browser cache.
