If they can’t be bothered to put up a proper informative homepage, doubt I’d ever bother joining.
It seems a bit like a site that fills a void which doesn’t actually exist.. I use linkedin, forums and twitter for all of my social networking with affs / merchants etc quite happily. Who needs anything else..?
