Obviously this is a common problem, and I would like to thank Warren for the valuable source.

My first experience with plagiarism was bad… The thief got my article indexed on his website before it was indexed on my website :banger: and not only that – he posted a link to my article with some extra parameters (which reminded me to use canonical tags, so it had a benefit after all). Eventually I had to re-write the article on my site in order to distinguish it from the original version.

I imagine that Google is well aware of who is the original source, either by indexing chronlogy (and making sure that your articles are indexed immidiately after publishing them is a MUST!) or by marking some of the content farming sites as prone to steal articles because they included a high precentage of copied material. So basically as long as my articles are indexed immidiately I feel safe.

I do, however, hate those thieves and would love to something about it. My partner just had a brilliant idea: why wont we post the domains that stole articles from us (only with moderation regarding proof that you are the original article’s owner of course) and form some sort of blacklisted sites.

What do you all say? I would gladly reveal the site that stole my article. His owners deserve being ostersised by the affiliate community, and many more do too, unfortunately.
