I noticed my post was a bit succinct. So Strasbourg of course is a very interesting city with lots of medieval buildings and streets and you get a free map and points of interest at the tourist center. The thing is Germany was mostly destroyed in WWII, so there is much more to see on the west side of the Rhine than east side unfortunately. So I would spend as much time as possible in Alsace. And visiting Alsace wine villages is a lot of fun as I said earlier, which you reach from Strasbourg by you need to pay (bus or train).
