Either a bot (which I doubt) or more likely what scammers do is, they try to act like a serious buyer and request to see your site from the backend. Hoping you didn’t set up limited privileges so they can steal all yours scripts and/or all your emails contacts. Even worse, they send out (from your backend) scam emails to all your members posing as you.
The craziness never ends with these people.
