I think the conferences are invaluable. It’s great to meet people you’ve been talking to online, but have never actually met. It’s alot easier to discuss things in person. And ofcourse the parties are great fun. A great chance to meet up with colleagues/competitors, and a great chance to get some useful information I’ve done some great deals over the years at these parties
