Budapest is a great city and definitely a bit cheaper than Prague. In terms of language, anywhere around the city centre you could just about get by with English and flagrant hand gesturing. Prague is definitely more anglofied though and if you’re worried about language, it’s a safer bet. As TheBoyMitchell and other have pointed out, both are fraught with the potential of getting ripped off, particularly if you enjoy the odd visit to a titty bar!
