I recently did the same and everytime I look in FF I see white lines for my table and when looking with IE everything is normal as it should be. I’m still figuring out why this is happening in FF.
If I use a css the table border is correct, however TR and TD are white or grey (hard to see) in FF.

As stated in my reply to myself are you using RGB format? CMYK format may create those white lines I was talking about. Also you should deselect anti-alias when creating the file. 
PS. I mainly use Firefox.
