This is just one case that is now in the public and media domain. Keep in mind that many serious news stories both in and around the gaming and igaming business don’t make the news, sometimes because they are “too newsworthy” (ie: too hot or stopped going public). More often than not where there is smoke there is fire, and I’m not talking about the Victorian bushfires. Hopefully there will be some positive outcomes from this case, and there still appears to be room for improvement in the gaming and igaming sector in relation to ethics, accountability, affiliate and consumer protection, to name but a few. Just where you thought the Australian igaming sector might have been cooling down, serious news has once again heated up things down under, this time with major international elements. Next big casino stories in development… Crown Casino boss returns to Australia. Harry K – Crown Casino court trial continues. PartyGaming, Virgin Games, 888, World Series of Poker, World Poker Tour, PKR all see great opportunities in Australia – Asia Pacific region. Casino companies closely watching American – U.S. DOJ – European Union situation, and gaming and igaming regulations start to further tighten in Australia. More mergers forecast by insiders.
