I think this is a reaction to that episode.
The new aff program certification would include AUDITING the program backends – something I have pushed for as long as I have been in this biz.
Of course they can’t audit those who do not voluntarily submit to it. Grand Prive did not allow access to the aff program (for good reason we found out). So eCOGRA had nothing in hand.
But, if we can get auditing of aff programs in place, the ones who submit to it will definitely be a better bet for us than those who don’t.
No other industry goes unaudited, it’s time we got the benefit. I would definitely like to see a lot of programs joining and I will definitely prefer programs who are audited on a regular basis. It’s a no brainer.
