Good bump Nick :)

As said, its the last week of the Premiership and although everything has been sorted out at the top of the Premier League, there is still plenty to play for in the CAP Premiership league, with the top 3 laces all in with the possibility of winning the league and that £500 (which in true casino style will be subject to the usual conditions – no cashing out, 500x playthrough and a max withdrawal of £1 per week :)*

Anyway, lets concentrate of the top 5 teams to see what they have left in their locker…

At 5, its Mike Lancaster with Allergis Vagyok, who is launching a late attack for the title but surely has left it a little late being that he is on 1765 points. Good scorers were Vidic (8), Reina (7) and Anelka (12)

At 4, neatly reflecting real life is Ian Sims with Arsenal, rocking in with 1778 points. Interestingly Ian has no Arsenal players in his squad – surely the sign of a good manager when you don’t let your heart overrule your head J

Weighing in at 3 is Spuds FC, managed by Russell Palmer. Amassing 1841 points so far this season, Russel is still in with a shout of the title but will have to post a Herculean score to grab that Number 1 postition. Gerrard (14), Cech (7) and Carragher (7) weighing in the majority of this weeks points for the Spuds XI

Staying steady at Number 2 is Marscapone United, managed by Tobias M on 1866 points. A low scoring 33 points this week meant that a slight gap has opened up this week between second and first place, but how will transfers decide the final week?

And finally, at Number 1 in the league at within grasp of the £500 is Nick Gandy, whos BlueToffee team sits on 1890 points, 26 points ahead of second place. Playing a 5-4-1 lineup, Nick has been picking up clean sheets at the back to inch ahead.

So, one week to go – and its all going to be down to which manager plays the transfers right. Each of the top two teams is loaded up with Man Utd players, and bearing in mind that they visit 4th from bottom Hull City, *and* have the Champions League final the week after, will Sir Alex rest his first team and put out a team with Kuscak, Gary Neville, Scholes, Jonny Evans, Macheda, Wellbeck etc and save his first choice team for the Barcelona game?

Will Hiddink let Anelka start the match to try and score one goal to give him the golden boot this season? Will there be a glut of goals as the bottom 4 teams in the premiership leave gaps in their defence as they push for that all important win to ensure Premiership survival? With a 4 point deduction for each additional transfer, who has the balls to drop the big game players and rely on the unsung heroes of the season in the attempt to score those final points?
All I know is – its been awesome. I bloody loves football me :)

* this bit isnt true :)
