Hi Guys,

I’m sorry for not having done this sooner but I wanted to make sure that I had all the facts
about what happened and why before I posted about our .com domain.

We registered StarPartner.com with Verio and at the time we gave them our email addresses
and credit card details, everything that was needed to notify us when it came to renew the
domain as well as the instruction to execute an auto renew at the time of expiration.

This however never happened, the first we heard about the domain going down was during
the weekend when Daera and a various other affiliates contacted me to let me know about it.

I immediately got on the phone with the relevant people to sort it out.

We were later told quite blatantly by Verio that they do not guarantee delivery of expiration
notifications or automatic renewals
and they only provide these as an additional courtesy
service which they aren’t required to fulfil. They also informed us me they don’t guarantee
that they will keep expiring domains either and this led to our domain being registered by a
3rd party. We were unable to buy our domain back from the “squatters” as quickly as we
would have liked so we put up the .eu domain for the time being.

We have completed negotiations with the current domain “owners” and are in the process of
completing the transfer of the domain and this should be done in the next day or two.
