Well Warren it looks like I owe you a public apology regarding the 2 million. That being said I think we have to look at all decisions from two viewpoints. From Louis point of view that money was switched away to a different bank account almost simultaneously with him being locked out of here, I think a lot of people would have jumped to similar conclusions.
Regardless of the fallout between the two of you, I am sure at one point there was some type of bond and synergy between you. Business is business but I think that you both need to remember to treat each other like human beings, and don’t do to the other as you wish not be done to you.
I think to Louis CAP is more than a business so maybe even if you end up buying him out or giving him a severance package in time you can allow him back on board. Even if it is without moderator status. Believe it or not he is an important member of the community. Even with the mistakes that he has made. Even with your mistakes. The mistakes were made together and that cannot be forgotten.
I also think that even if you battle it out in court, you have to be fair to the other person. If this is being done for the better of the business, and he has only done what ‘in his opinion’ are the right decisions then that has to be factored in. I do hope that you can manage to settle it out of court, going to court is all about who has the biggest pockets. It’s transferring money from both parties to lawyers and that’s never good.
Letting the secrets out of the closet can only be positive going forward.
