Like Prof said, Microsoft never release perfect software. But we all have a choice – take the risk and live with the results or wait until it’s got a history. Things like this are bad on one hand, but on the other they (should!) provide a valuable learning experience for everyone involved, be it software providers, licencees or affiliates.
